Player-Owned Facilities
Facilities are player-owned businesses that are an extension of the player's Homestead and all of their efforts in Riverton. Other players can enroll their animals or themselves in a Facility to receive services: training, boarding, veterinary care, and more. Facility Owners earn income from every enrollment, creating an additional form of income for players who have met all of the requirements. Owners collect income every day, and customers pay at the time of enrollment. Facility Owners can get a soured reputation in Riverton if they repeatedly kick customers from their Facility, so it behooves all Owners to take care of their customers and enrollees at their Facility by allowing players to check out their animals.
Facility Requirements
Before you can open a Facility, you must meet all of the following:
- Own a House or Farm at the required level
- Hold the required career level
- Have the required skills
- Purchase a Facility License from the Facilities page
Each Facility type has different unlock requirements, but you can only own one at a time. Check the Facility Office to see what each type requires before purchasing a license.
After purchasing a license and naming your Facility, it enters construction. You must deposit the required building materials before it opens. Each Facility type requires different materials to build. Once all materials are deposited, your Facility opens automatically. If you ever delete your Facility, all enrolled animals are automatically checked out without benefits before deletion is processed.

Upgrading Your Facility
Facilities can be upgraded up to Level 4, which gets Facility Owners more income and provides more benefits to customers. To upgrade:
- Click Begin Upgrade from Manage Facility
- Deposit the required materials for the next level
- Your Facility upgrades automatically once all materials are deposited
Your Facility remains open while you gather materials, but enters upgrading status once you begin depositing. Animals already enrolled are unaffected.
Facility Types
Players can open one of any type of the following Facilities:
Training Center
Send your horses to train their skills automatically over a duration of your choosing.
Horses only. Select a stat to train at enrollment: Speed, Endurance, Intelligence, Reactivity, Temperament, or Agility. Gains are calculated in 6-hour blocks and applied on checkout. No gains are granted for early checkout, and no stats can go over the maximum overall.

Vet Clinic
Injured animals can be healed for much lower cost than purchasing medicines yourself.
Injured animals only. Animals are ready for pickup the following day. No healing occurs on early checkout. The Facility Owner earns income per animal treated.

Therapy Center
Loan your animals out for therapy services to surrounding communities.
No enrollment fee is charged to the player bringing their animal. Owner income is calculated based on the enrolled animal's personality: calmer, friendlier animals earn more. The enrolling player receives a 50% kickback of the owner's income on checkout. No kickback on early checkout.

Riding School
Enroll yourself to raise your Horse Riding skill.
Players enroll, not their animals. Experience is granted on checkout, scaled by how long you were enrolled and the Facility level. No experience given on early checkout.

Stables
Long-term boarding for animals with no checkout date required.
Essentially long-term storage for animals, your adoptables are returned with full health, full mood, and zero dirtiness. No checkout deadline needed: animals stay until the Facility Owner or adoptable owner removes them. A 24-hour cooldown applies per animal between enrollments. Facility Owners may remove animals at any time, but no benefits are granted on removal.

Boarding Facility
Short-term vacation stays for any adoptable, up to seven days.
Animals check out with full health, full mood, and zero dirtiness. Players choose a stay duration of 1-7 days at enrollment. A 24-hour cooldown applies per animal between enrollments. No benefits on early checkout.

Owner Income
For all Facilities except Therapy Centers, the enrollment fee is added to your income pot the moment a player enrolls. For Therapy Centers, income is calculated at enrollment based on the animal's personality and the Owner's income accumulation.
Income accumulates in your pot until you collect it from managing your Facility. There is no expiry on uncollected income, so it can keep building even when you're away.
