Spring Remembrance
First Saturday in May
Annual ceremonial ride around Green Lake that began as a veteran memorial and celebration for homecoming soldiers in the Great War. Over the years, it became more of a horse-drawn parade that now encircles Green Lake and the main thoroughfare of town.

Midsummer Heritage Fair

Regional attraction featuring horse shows, breeding competitions, races of varying distances, educational workshops on sustainable living, traditional crafts, and horse training techniques. Don't forget about the carnival games!

Harvest Moon Days
Throughout Autumn
County fair-style celebration combining harvest celebration and community thanksgiving. Features produce displays, horse-related competitions, communal meals, and plenty of games. The once-famous Pumpkin Race where riders navigate obstacle courses while carrying increasingly large pumpkins has been discontinued for safety after a jockey tore his bicep muscle.

Winter Solstice Lantern Festival
First two weeks of December
Originated as a community ride by lantern light held regardless of weather conditions. After 1990, incorporates paper lantern ceremonies introduced through the sister city relationship with Pyeonghae, South Korea, creating a fusion of traditions.
