2.1.0 Seasonal Events Update
September 1, 2026by Administrator

Hello, hello Rivertonians!

August has been an exciting month; the first half of this update was the Weather & Weathered update that came out a few weeks ago.

First of all, we have a really fun contest and team-based competition happening, being organized by LakiaLynn2026 on the Forums! She's looking for two Team Captains to sign up with a reward of $1,000,000 each for volunteering. If you're interested, check out the forum post. The contest will be in October/November, so keep an eye out!

Additions

  • The Festival Grounds are now open for seasonal events! Throughout the season and every other week, the Festival Grounds opens for players to be able to play games every day and earn seasonal coins. This can help get some rare items needed for Collections or to resell in your Flea Market shop! We're currently in Summer, so you can experience the Midsummer games until Autumn.
  • You will now see Hints on every page that may need explanation, including games or tasks, tying into the Getting Started Guide. If you want to reset these after dismissing, you can re-enable them in your Account Settings.
  • You can now Wire Transfer money to any other player in Riverton from the Central Bank.

Adjustments

  • Your recipes are no longer consumed when you make something in your Kitchen. The Recipes are consumed upon learning it, but once learned, you can cook the Recipe as many times as you want without needing the Recipe item in your inventory! Thank you to everyone who has given feedback about this.
  • The Job Agency will now give out jobs for Common or Very Common items only. Thank you to everyone who reported this bug as the amount of items have increased!
  • Experience is now reflective of how many batches you complete in the Workshop and Food Processor.
  • The Fishing timer should no longer show negative minutes when waiting.
  • Orchard and Farms should now be consistent with which plots are given fertilizer after paying for it.
  • Livestock should now be able to be handled after a competition.
  • Made some visual changes across the site to provide some continuity and consistency.
  • Restored missing locations to the Map list of locations. (Thank you, ZarraMoon!)

As a reminder, I'm taking the rest of September off since I'm getting married! :) I'll still be around on the game (and moderation is still happening), but no updates will be coming out this month.

Thanks again for being here. Check out the Quarterly Roadmap to see what's coming for the rest of 2026!
